There are so many places for fishing in Konkan regions like natural lakes /dams/deep river water (Kond) and sea.

Freshwater fishing
This fishing has been done through net which is locally known as Jala/Kandali/Shendi and this activity available in all seasons. The Raanmanus get Fishing Net (Shengati) in hands and sink into the water with that.there must be a fish in the net when they came out of the water. This activity can be experienced with such expert fish catchers. There fluency and skill of catching fish is truly remarkable.

Net Fishing in Sea with local boats :(Not Available During Monsoon)
Most successful way to experience a real fishing adventure is to join the local fishermen, who do their trade in the same way as their ancestors did centuries ago. fishermen are usually happy to accept help from outside. So, if you want to learn how to really throw and pull the net, you just need to go to the beach early in the morning before the boats will have gone to the sea, and to ask to help.

In this period the rivers,  Rice farms (bhatachi shel), ViaDucts, waterfalls, wells and everything is full of heavy water flow. Hence a large number of freshwater fishes jumped to the upper side for fertilization. Intelligent and skilled Konkani guys get an advantage of this. They use Dombali/Khoon ( A fish catching arrangements made by using Bamboos and local wood ).for fishing.
